Tuesday, Wednesday then transformation Thursday

Its only a couple of days until the private view for the next show featuring Kate, Jon, Asha and Jeff. Looking at the gallery in the midst of preparation its difficult to believe it can be ready for visitors after only 48 hours - a secret best kept I think....The prep' for the show had an interesting turn yesterday, Jeff was contacted at the Gallery by BBC Coventry & West Midlands Radio, they'd heard about the show and wanted to know more.
I spoke to Asha (Chris) & as a result of the interest he had an interview this morning, after speaking to Asha again this evening he mentioned that they were going to air the interview before the private view on Thursday... so a little more publicity for the Fishbone - onwards and upwards.

And yet there's more... but I'll tell this little tit bit of info' tomorrow.

Have to go Zena making treacle toffee at home - old family recipe - full of fattening stuff - yum -yum -yum.....

I'm back the toffee is looking goooood....

A few hours later - still here Jon, Kate and Kev arrived a few hours ago - Kate with her prints which are going up on the wall as I write. Jeff arrived back from fishing about the same time just as we opened the first bottle of wine - his timing is unbelievable - but then we polished off the curry before he returned so all was not lost.

I have a feeling this is going to be show to remember....

Fishbone Gallery

The Fishbone Gallery is something of a rarity. A gallery committed to promoting the diversity of the visual arts of the West Midlands, that supports new artists and encourages them to show work that otherwise might not receive the attention it deserves. We are not primarily a profit making enterprise, and therefore we can afford to show experimental work that would never gain proper exposure through commercial channels. We also host a wide range of community projects and events, clubs and classes, run by specialist practitioners with thorough knowledge of their particular disciplines. We welcome all people of all ages and all cultural backgrounds, to come along and be part of what we do. Our mission is to make art and art practise an integral part of the lives of the people of Longford, and to encourage a broader audience for the visual arts in Coventry and the West Midlands. The gallery is run by Judy Kay and Jeff Hatt
